St. Luke's Close was developed when St. Luke's Church wished to build seniors housing on the disused Burlington Courthouse site. The resulting housing was developed in an L-shaped configuration with 60-suites in a three-storey building.

The structure was 'systems-built' from steel so that it could be completed quickly and efficiently on a very tight budget. Although the one-bedroom suites are small, they are always in great demand. A large common room on the main floor in the centre is designed to provide social functions and dinner each day. A beautiful garden is enclosed in the L where residents plant flowers and vegetables in their own areas.
